"It is not what you see ~ but how you see it"
Conservation and Preservation of the rapidly vanishing natural world
around us is where we begin.
Capturing this world is my passion.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
As a freelance writer and
photographer, an avid Nature and Wildlife
supporter, and a member of The North
American Nature Photography Association, I
spend the majority of my time focused on the
wildlife and natural wonders abundant in
this part of the country. With the Great
Smoky Mountains National Park only 30 miles
away and the fact that I live surrounded by
National Forests in almost every direction
to encompass Georgia, South Carolina, North
Carolina and Tennessee, I can always find
something that catches my eye whenever I
walk out my door. Concerned with Nature
conservation and our vanishing native plants
and wildlife, it is my desire to document
and record as much of this area as I can.
I began my journey of
photography in the early 70’s starting out
in sports and portrait photography – but it
was my love of the great outdoors that
naturally led me to focus my work on nature.
I am an organic herb grower, North Carolina
Master Gardener, National Wildlife Habitat
Steward and have a certified NWF Backyard
Habitat (10 mountainous acres adjacent to
The Nantahala National Forest), and a lot of
my work revolves around the garden and the
abundant wildlife found here.
Natural setting
portraits, event coverage and residential
photography rounds out my portfolfio.
